Brittany | Quinquis Animal Park Zoo

Clohars-Carnoët / France. Created in 1989, the Quinquis Park has, sincee the beginning, opted for a concept of animals in total freedom, in direct contact with the visitor.

The Quinquis Park is a sensitive place, think to observe the fauna. The Quinquis Park has, sincee the beginning, opted for a concept of animals in total freedom, in direct contact with the visitor. All the originality, and what makes it a unique place is the symbiosis between many varieties of animals and the cohabitation with the visitor in a preserved botanic park in its eco-system. The time of a walk in a green valley of 10 hectares, among ponds and typical groves, discover the animals of Le Quinquis. (Alpacas, sheep, daines, geese, … )

Ever fancied wandering freely among animals, but never put it into practice? Well, in the Quinquis animal centre in Clohars-Carnoët, just five minutes from the beaches of Le Pouldu and 15 minutes from Lorient, you can put that right, and even share your lunch with them.
The Parc Animalier du Quinquis is a private, essentially family-run structure. « Our passion and your trust help to preserve the spirit of this much-needed haven for us humans. The Park is a sensitive place that will bring you the happiness of a real return to nature  » curator Karl Regardin.

Here’s a wonderful, magical place to have encounters of a very special kind. A botanical garden little changed down the centuries, with centuries-old oaks, a beautiful lake and no less than 14 springs, has now become a little piece of paradise, where all sorts of animals roam freely without fences, hedges or other constraints – wild deer, lemurs, wallabies, donkeys, ponies and pigs. You can wander around just as freely as the animals. The owner, Karl Regardin, has always favoured giving animals their freedom whilst allowing direct contact with humans. « Here », he says with pride, « you are guests in their home ».
